This love story is a remake of the South Korean film Always which took its cue from Chaplin's City Lights. In the director's chair is Miki Takahiro who has worked on We Were There and other romance films.
One day, Rui (Yokohama Ryusei) meets a blind girl Akari (Yoshitaka Yuriko). Once a kickboxer with promising potential, Rui has distanced himself from others after a certain incident took away his hopes for the future. Before long, the two become attracted to one another, but Rui soon learns his past and the accident responsible for Akari's loss of eyesight share something in common.
