An innocent love story between a closeted "boys' love" comics fan and a hardcore gamer is depicted in this live-action adaptation of the identically titled web manga. At the helm is Fukuda Yuichi, director of hits such as Gintama.
26-year-old office worker Momose Narumi (Takahata Mitsuki) has changed jobs and is reunited with childhood friend Nito Hirotaka (Yamazaki Kento) at her new place of work. Hirotaka plays videogames like an addict. Meanwhile Narumi is head-over-heals for manga and anime. One day Hirotaka proposes going steady, stating: "Going out with a fellow otaku is more agreeable." And so begins their relationship.
