Hironobu Tsujiguchi, who is a world-wide famous Japanese pastry chef. This movie is about his journey from finding some ingredients to completing his new recipes of chocolate.
The biggest chocolate festival has been held every year in Paris, France, "Salon du Chocolat". In the festival, there is a contest of chocolate. It is very honor thing for all chocolatiers to win a prize there. Hironobu has kept winning it for five years. However,
he is not satisfied with himself yet. Therefore, he decided to create new chocolate recipes and to win a prize again.
Hironobu has always kept creating interesting and unique chocolate. For this time, he tried to create them as "Marriage of fermentation". He tried to match "Japanese fermented foods" and "chocolate made from fermented cacao beans".
To find fine fermented foods, he started his journey in Japan first. During his journey, he found some awesome foods. "Miso" which has been fermented for more than ten years, Salt created by an unique way and so on.
Next, he was off to Ecuador for nice fermented cacao beans. While he struggled to find, he discovered some fragrant beans. By using those fermented foods he found, he finally started creating. This film was shoot by a high-speed camera and drone camera, and was edited as if it is an art. Enjoy Hironobu's journey, his creation, Japanese and Ecuador beautiful scenery, and his passion with artistic movie images.
This is exactly a film, for who are absorbed in sweets in the world!
