Second production in the Toei Movie x Stage project that connects the big screen with theater. The last of the death handlers investigates serial killings in Edo for this innovative historical drama. Original story and script by Suto Yasushi of Detective in the Bar.
The story takes place during the reign of Tokugawa Iemitsu, the third Shogun. Detective Kusaka Genshiro (Suzuki Hiroki) made a deal with Juran the Grim Reaper (Yasui Kentaro) to obtain supernatural powers, and he gets a request to find a missing woman. Meanwhile, courtesans in Edo's Yoshiwara red-light district are being murdered.
