Samurai action drama featuring 'swordsmen' warriors personifying Japanese swords as they confront evil influences scheming to revise history. The first live-action film adaptation of the training simulation game that has also been turned into an anime and stage play.
In 1582, Akechi Mitsuhide attacked Oda Nobunaga at the Honno-ji Temple Incident. The evil forces of history revision strike and reports come in that Nobunaga, who was supposed to be assassinated, is still alive. The swordsmen mobilize to correct the course of history.
