Fourth feature film from Ikeda Akira, who has built an international reputation with festival screenings including the Rotterdam International Film Festival for Anatomy of a Paperclip and Ambiguous Places. Produced as part of the New Directions in Japanese Cinema (ndjc) project to cultivate young filmmakers.
There's a certain town that has been in pointless conflict for decades with Futohara Town across the river. One day, a soldier named Tsuyuki (Maehara Ko) becomes captivated by music he hears from the opposite shore. Meanwhile, rumors spread that new weapons and troops will arrive in town.
