Doi Nobuhiro, director of hit films such as The Wings of the Kirin, helms this thriller inspired by an actual unsolved case that rocked Japan.
Akutsu (Oguri Shun), a newspaper reporter, is chasing down the story of an unsolved case from thirty-five years ago involving a food company. Meanwhile, a tailor in Kyoto named Sone (Hoshino Gen) finds an old cassette tape among the keepsakes left by his deceased father. He hears his own voice recorded on it. It is exactly the same voice from an extortion tape used by the criminals in the unsolved case.
