Yamada Atsuhiro directs his own screenplay, Inspired by the 2015 Shogi (Japanese-style chess) Denou-sen competition, which won the first Kinoshita Group New Director Award Grand Prix with Kawase Naomi heading up the jury. Inspired by the 2015 Shogi Denou-sen competition, a guy thwarted in the world of shogi (Japanese-style chess) finds a new dream and rebuilds his life.
Eiichi (Yoshizawa Ryo) once aimed to be a pro shogi player but abandoned his dream after losing to powerhouse Riku (Wakaba Ryuya). Now a university student, Eiichi discovers computer-based shogi and dedicates himself to crafting a strong shogi program. But his quest leads him down a familiar road where he once again must challenge Riku.
