Documentary about the everyday experiences of town physician Nagao Kazuhiro, who provided the inspiration for Peaceful Death (dir. Takahashi Banmei).
In 1995 Dr. Nagao Kazuhiro opened his clinic in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, and he sees patients in his office and also does house calls. He calls himself a "town physician" and declares that "the town is my clinic, and your home is the world's most luxurious hospital suite," and he has treated 1,000 patients in his clinic and 1,500 through house calls. Dr. Nagao's activities as home care specialist provide the basis for exploring the end-stage that awaits us all.
