One film in the "Red Room" series which are a modern adaptation of Edogawa Rampo's short stories. Based on 'Devil Doll', the film depicts the sorrowful yet beautiful fate of a former high school teacher and a high school girl. In the director's chair is Kubota Shoji who is known for "A Watcher in the Attic".
Sugiura (Namioka Kazuki) had been a high school teacher but lost everything after it's discovered he was taking voyeuristic photos of female students. A high school girl named Rumi (Kuribayashi Aino) shows up, leads Sugiura around as if they're bound together, and ends up staying at Sugiura's apartment. However, Sugiura gradually becomes obsessed with Rumi and turns to tying her up.
