Live-action adaptation of the same-named comic released in 2009 by popular manga artist Asano Inio. This tale about adolescence depicts the shock of love and sexuality as experienced by a 14-year-old boy and girl and also captures the stultifying atmosphere so often found in provisional towns.
Koume (Ishikawa Ruka) is in her second year in junior high school and lives in a seaside town. After getting dumped by her upperclassman crush, she asks her classmate Isobe (Aoki Yuzu) to take her virginity. They continue their casual sex relationship, but then Koume finds out that Isobe harbors feelings of guilt for his brother's suicide.
