Kakunoshin, who used to be a samurai, left the clan after being falsely accused of a crime which he did not commit and now lives with his only daughter in a poor. He has not given up his pride and dignity as a samurai, even though he has fallen on hard times. His honest character is reflected especially in the game of Go (a traditional Japanese board game), which he always tries to play fair and honesty without any pretense. But one day, when the truth behind his wife's death is revealed, he vows to avenge her death. A story of the dignity of a samurai who lives proudly to protect his loved ones amidst a whirlwind of suspicion and intrigue, and of the affection between father and daughter, now reveals.
