Road movie featuring Babel actress Kikuchi Rinko's first solo starring role in a Japanese film. Director Kumakiri Kazuyoshi delivers a sensitive portrayal of the emotional turmoil experienced by a lonely woman in her forties.
Forty-two-year-old part-timer Yoko (Kikuchi Rinko) has lived like a social recluse ever since her dreams were shattered twenty years ago. She finds out that her estranged father has died and reluctantly heads for her hometown of Hirosaki in Aomori Prefecture. After getting stranded by her cousin's family, the penniless Yoko winds up hitchhiking.
