[ Story ]

Film adaptation of Higashino Keigo's same-named mystery from 1992 that was deemed to be too daunting for the silver screen. Helmed by Iizuka Ken (Step), who also excels as a director for theater.
Seven members of a theater troupe receive invitations to compete in the final audition for the lead in an upcoming stage production. They participate in a four-day trip to act out the script of serial killings that happen in a mountain chalet cut off by heavy snow. However, the troupe members disappear one by one from a secret room without an exit.
