[ Story ]

A film adaptation of the original novel by Kitakuni Koji about a mother's intense love and lies to protect her child. Directed by Sekine Kosai, who made his feature debut with Love at Least.
Chisako (Watanabe Anne), a picture book author, reluctantly returns to the countryside after her father, Kozo (Okuda Eiji), who is reclusive, develops dementia. One day, fed up with living with Kozo, Chisako rescues a boy (Nakasu Toma) who lost his memory in an accident, and finds scars of abuse on the boy's body. To protect the boy, Chisako lies that she is his mother and begins to live with him...
