Hiroki Ryuichi adapts the same-named novel by Confession author Minato Kanae. The truth behind a mystery is laid bare through the eyes of a mother unable to love her daughter and the daughter who desires maternal affection.
A high school girl is found dead in her own backyard. Was it murder or suicide...? The truth remains shrouded in mystery. We see the exact same events from the perspectives of the mother Rumiko (Toda Erika) and daughter Sayaka (Nagano Mei), but their stories gradually diverge.
