[ Story ]

Second film by Kore-eda Hirokazu, whose numerous honors for Maborosi included the Golden Osella Award at the Venice International Film Festival. Fantasy drama about the seven days between a person's death and arrival in the afterlife.
Twenty-two dead people show up at an old building surrounded by fog. In the interview room they meet counsellors Mochizuki (ARATA), Kawashima (Terajima Susumu), Sugie (Naito Takashi) and Shiori (Oda Erika), who coax out their memories and prepare for filming.
