This is the story of a young girl's summer, written by director Hayakawa Chie, whose debut feature film, PLAN 75, garnered attention at the Cannes Film Festival and elsewhere.
Set in a late-80s summer, at the height of the bubble economy. Fuki (Suzuki Yui), a deeply sensitive 11-year-old living in the suburbs, baffles adults. She has been enjoying a carefree summer vacation, but her daily life is shaken by the huge rift that developes between her father Keiji (Lily Franky), who is battling illness, and her mother Utako (Ishida Hikari), who is swamped with work.
