Haruhiko Nakayama is an elementary school vice principal who is aiming forpromotion to the position of principal. One day, the homeroom teacher of the first class of the fifth grade is absent.
Haruhiko is forced to take on the role of temporary homeroom teacher andmanages to fulfill his duties despite the various problems he faces. Then, an incident leads to a recommendation from the current principal, Ms. Takamori, for the principal's examination, and Haruhiko takes the exam. However, the problems that await him do not stop there...
