[ Story ]
With a combination of 3,711 passengers and crew members, a cruise ship docks in at Yokohama Port in February 2020. A passenger who had disembarked at Hong Kong had tested positive with novel coronavirus. By now 100 passengers were showing symptoms of having the virus. A medical team for disaster relief, DMAT, responds to the situation. They are equipped to provide medical assistance in earthquakes and floods but they're not trained for unknown virus outbreaks. The Incident Command Center is set up and DMAT Commander Hideharu Yuki (Shun Oguri) is in charge, along with Nobutaka Tatematsu (Tori Matsuzaka) from the Health Ministry. DMAT members led by the on-site commander and Yuki's old buddy, Yoshiyuki Sendo (Yosuke Kubozuka) are on the ship. Haruto Sanada (Sosuke Ikematsu), a DMAT member whose family are worried about him at home, is among them.
They play the roles of actual people who were at the front line of a high-stake endeavor to get all the passengers off the ship in good health. These heroes never gave up hope while combating a virus that no one knew how to deal with.
This is a story based on true accounts from the front line of the pandemic that affected the whole world.
