An action period drama based on the novel of the same name by Naoki Prize-winning author Kakine Ryosuke. Directed and written by Irie Yu of A Girl Named Ann fame, this film depicts the little-known battle of Hasuda Hyoe, who led the first uprising of the samurai class.
In 1461, there was a great famine and epidemic, and human trafficking and slave labor were rampant. Amidst the chaos, Hasuda Hyoe (Oizumi Yo), who wanders around the country, meets a lonely boy named Saizo (Nagao Kento). Before long, together with a group of unique outlaws, he launches a reckless battle against enormous powers.
