[ Story ]
A humanistic comedy from Miki Satoshi, creator of numerous variety show programs and who as a film director has garnered attention for his unique sensibility in movies such as Turtles Swim Faster Than Expected and Adrift in Tokyo. A consistently unlucky woman in dire financial straits learns of the existence of the biological father she never knew, leading to a series of outrageous events. The cast features regular Miki Satoshi collaborators from the likes of TV miniseries ‘Time Limit Investigator', including Aso Kumiko, Fuse Eri, and Iwamatsu Ryo. In particular, veteran leading man Kazama Morio gives a spirited performance.
Editor Haname (Aso) quits her company when the magazine she's in charge of ceases publication. After her boyfriend dumps her as well, Haname decides to turn her mired life around when by chance she discovers a letter that mentions her biological father is named Jinchoge Noburo. In order to find out the truth she visits the address on the letter but only finds a dubious man named "Light Bulb" (Kazama) who runs an old curio shop. At the mercy of Light Bulb's selfish and irresponsible ways, Haname decides to open her own antique shop on a whim.
