[ Story ]

Bored housewife Suzume (Ueno Juri) leads a very mundane life. Her husband has been transferred to work in another city, leaving Suzume on her own. The most demanding job of the day is feeding her husband's beloved pet turtle. Suzume is getting fed up of this daily grind, but then she sees a newspaper advertisement, which reads "Spy Needed". Suzume calls up and meets a married couple, Mr. and Mrs. Kugitani, who run a "professional" spy business. Mr. and Mrs. Kugitani hire Suzume, believing that she is so incredibly ordinary that she would never be mistaken for a spy. Her first job is to make herself completely inconspicuous by creating a "cover" as a boring housewife. However, everything seems to conspire against her and then something happens to completely upset the plan. One day, Suzume sees a boy drowning in the river and jumps in to save him. Suzume runs off, but rumors spread about the local "heroine" and she suddenly finds herself a celebrity. This disqualifies her from working as a spy. Reluctantly she returns to her former, boring life, but Suzume is not the same woman she was before.
