[ Story ]
A suspense drama, produced to mark the 50th anniversary of Fuji Television and filmed entirely on location in Italy. Based on a new novel by popular writer Shimpo Yuichi (Whiteout), the kidnapping of a Japanese girl in Rome unfolds into a series of terrorist incidents that rock international society. Gorgeous cinematography at Italy's world heritage sites and a deluxe cast are highlights of the film, which features an appearance by British soprano Sarah Brightman, playing herself, where she sings ‘Time to Say Goodbye.'
At Christmas in Rome, with a G8 foreign ministers, summit scheduled to take place, warnings of a large-scale terrorist attack are issued. The diplomat Kuroda (Oda Yuji) arrives on the scene to provide security for Japanese nationals. Soon after taking up his post at the Japanese embassy, he finds himself interpreting for Saeko (Amami Yuki), the distraught mother of an 8-year old girl, Madoka (Omori Ayane), who has disappeared. Kuroda answers a phone call to Saeko from the kidnappers and, posing as the husband, becomes deeply involved in the incident.
