A feature film adaptation of a television drama series that aired in 2009 and also returned as a drama special in 2011. An ex-mobster is put in charge of a group of elderly people and takes a stand against a gang with a nefarious approach to nursing care. Its story is separate from the television version, but its style of using an outlandish premise to address social issues remains unchanged.
Former yakuza Hikoichi (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi) is sent to prison after he releases a thief who robs the convenience store where he works. Sensing that he doesn't have what it takes to go straight, he returns to the underworld after his release. His new gang entrusts him with a business scheme that involves exploiting poor elderly people...
