[ Story ]
A fully computer-generated fantasy animation that follows the adventures of a young girl in a Goblin village. Director Rintaro, one of Japan's leading animation directors, also wrote the original story, while production was handled by MADHOUSE, producers of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.
Coco (voiced by Morisako Ei), who loves penguins and dreams of someday being able to fly, walks around town dressed as a penguin every night. One night, she follows a golden feather that falls from the sky and encounters Chaley (voiced by Tanaka Lena), a timid Goblin boy. He leads Coco to the Goblin village, where she receives a grand welcome. Chaley has mistaken Coco for the valiant "Flightless Bird" that, according to legend, will topple Bucca-Boo (voiced by Tanaka Yuji), the Emperor of Darkness who aims to control the village. Zammie (voiced by Ota Hikaru), Bucca-Boo's top retainer, arrives on the scene. His meanness soon throws the village into chaos. Coco is perplexed, but gathers her courage to join Chaley in making a stand.
