[ Story ]
Horror film director Shiraishi Koji, whose works to date have included The Slit-Mouthed Woman and TEKETEKE, has taken on the challenge of a fake documentary flavored by poltergeists, UFOs, and other-dimensional phenomena that are normally the stuff of occult television programs.
A random killer strikes a tourist town, killing indiscriminately. While the murderer eventually commits suicide, the body is never found. Managing to obtain footage of the entirety of events, Shiraishi sets out to make a documentary of the incident. He appears as himself—as does director Kurosawa Kiyoshi— bringing the film additional elements of eerie realism. Shiraishi at first harbors suspicions toward the sole survivor of the rampage, Eno (Uno Shohei), who makes the bizarre comment "It was a revelation from God." Adding to the weirdness, Eno has also apparently filmed a number of paranormal videos, and there is a bruise on his body with the same-shaped wound as the killer. Shiraishi's misgivings do eventually give way to friendship—but then he discovers the terrifying plans that Eno has been hiding.
