Winner in the honorable mention category at the Hakodate Harbor Illumination Film Festival, this film adaptation of the screenplay written by Manabe Yukiko is a heartwarming love story featuring a lineup of popular contemporary actors including Okada Junichi of "V6" (Japanese popular boy band) and Aso Kumiko.
Photographer Satoshi (Okada) and flower shop employee Nanao (Aso) live next to each other in an old apartment building, separated only by a flimsy wall. Although they have never met in person, they are somehow comforted by the sounds from the other's daily routine, such as Satoshi grinding his coffee beans and Nanao singing to herself. Both thirty years old and single, they are both caught up in their own separate dramas. Satoshi is entangled in confusion involving his friend Shingo (Ikeuchi Hiroyuki) and Shingo's pregnant girlfriend Akane (Tanimura Mitsuki), and Nanao receives an unexpected confession of love from the neighborhood convenience store clerk (Okada Yoshinori). In the midst of hurt and confusion, both suddenly find themselves drawn closer and closer to the sounds they hear coming from next door.
