Based on the novel by Shinohara Hajime, who at the age of 17 was the youngest ever recipient of the Bungakukai Shinjin Sho (*The Literary Circle New Face Award). This is the first film Oku Shutaro directed, who foregoes a script to cast its spell solely with music and images. The main roles of male junior high school students are all performed by girls. Three boys - Taki, Toto, and Hajime - who attend a private junior high school in Tokyo, start taking drugs only out of a mild sense of curiosity. However, their drug use combines with their complex psychological states in their current stage of rebellion, and events begin to spiral out of control.
