[ Story ]

The shock of her fiance's sudden dissolution of their relationship causes university student, Miki (Mimura), to lose her voice. While recuperating in a hospital in her hometown of Hakodate, she learns of the tragic life of her deceased mother, Kaoru, from her grandmother. Born to a Japanese mother and a Russian father, Kaoru (Ito Misaki) stood out amidst the local community with her unusual breeding and beauty. She married a man from her workplace named Kunikazu (Sato Koichi), and worked together with him on a fishing boat in his hometown. They produced a daughter named Miki and outwardly seemed to be a happy couple, but Kunikazu sensed something within Kaoru that made her increasingly inaccessible to him, and began an affair with another woman. The only one to support the lonely Kaoru was Kunikazu's younger brother, Hirotsugu (Nakamura Toru) and a mutual attraction developed, culminating in a single night of passion. One year later Kaoru gave birth to her second daughter, which created a widening schism between the brothers. Helplessly trapped between the two men she loved, Kaoru threw herself into the sea, and Hirotsugu followed soon after.
An erotically charged tale of doomed love from director Morita Yoshimitsu (Shitsurakuen, Like Ashura).
