[ Story ]

Winner of the second "Japan Love Story Award," this film is based on the Uemura Yu novel of the same name. A down-trodden business man decides to become a young high school girl's "guardian angel," and unwittingly causes quite a big stir. One day, Suga (Takeyama Takanori) drops his all-important daily allowance of 500 yen and has it returned to him by a high school girl, Ryoko (Kutsuna Shiori). Moved by the purity of her heart, he resolves to protect her from the evils abound in the world, but ends up becoming something more akin to her stalker.
