[ Story ]
The first film adaptation of the 1970s TV animation of the same name that moved children all over Japan to tears. Produced and co-written by Koyama Kundo who wrote the script for Departures (Okuribito). The honeybee prince Hutch (voice: Saito Ayaka) sets off on a solitary journey to find his long lost mother (voice: Yasuda Narumi). He meets Amy (voice: Ayaka Wilson), a young girl who can talk to all kinds of bugs and insects, and becomes big and strong. When he finds out his mother has been held captive by wasps he rushes off to save her.
