Director Suo Masayuki depicted the world of ballroom dancing in Shall We Dance?, and went on to marry ballerina Kusakari Tamiyo, who played its heroine. This ambitious work is his film adaptation of the ballet "Dancing Chaplin", inspired by the famous works of the immortal king of comedy. The first segment "Approach" documents choreographer Roland Petit and the starring duo of Kusakari and Luigi Bonino over sixty days as they put the show together. The second segment "Ballet" captures their actual performance on film, conveying the nobility of the performing arts.
