[ Story ]
A documentary tracing the past and present of Oguro-za, a tiny cinema that has been in business for over 90 years in a small town with a population of 14,000 in Hokkaido. In September 2008, documentary filmmaker Morita Keiko visited Oguro-za on its 90th anniversary and began filming, eventually completing this film. At present, multiplexes dominate Japan's cinema landscape, and repertory cinemas and other small movie theaters are disappearing one after another. Amid these adverse circumstances, Oguro-za has operated for over 90 years in the town of Urakawa in Hokkaido, and continues to serve the local community.
