[ Story ]
Second part of a documentary about the Kisarazu Shakaikan Nursery in Kisarazu that has become well-known for its satoyama educational philosophy based on spontaneous human interactions with nature. Here, children are left to their own devices and allowed to play freely in a natural environment, while also being assigned tasks appropriate to their age from time to time. These kids gamely take on a whole range of challenges: skipping, jumping rope, cycling, doing pullovers on low bars, walking on stilts, and much more. Carefully captured here is a string of tiny miracles in the lives of these children – crying in frustration each time they fail, sticking with it and making repeated efforts to overcome obstacles, as well as the wonderful smiles on their faces when they finally succeed.
