[ Story ]

An anti-war drama set in the final days of World War II about a group of soldiers and twenty young girls who hold Japan's future in their hands. It is based on the novel of the same title by Asada Jiro, many of whose works have been adapted for the screen. On August 10th 1945, as Japan stands on the verge of defeat, the Imperial Japanese Army entrusts Major Mashiba (Sakai Masato) with a top-secret mission: conceal a 200 trillion yen fortune stolen from General MacArthur that will be used to restore the nation after the war. Mashiba attempts to carry out his confidential orders with the help of two fellow officers, and a group of twenty female students and their teacher who are oblivious to what will happen.
