[ Story ]
The 20th Pia Film Festival Scholarship Film is directed by the spectacular Yoshida Koki, recipient of the 2008 Special Jury Prize at Pia Film Festival, a place where young film directors launch their careers. This caustic family drama was screened in the 2011 Berlin International Film Festival's Forum program. The Hashimoto family own a house in suburban Tokyo and appear to be happy, but emotionally they are on the edge of collapse. Homemaker Michiko (Minami Kaho) feels emptiness in the relationships with her husband (Taguchi Tomorowo), who never speaks, and job-hopping son (Kaku Tomohiro), and gradually descends into mental illness.
