Documentary filmmaker Matsue Tetsuaki has won acclaim in Japan and abroad for his works that constantly take on innovative ideas, such as LIVE TAPE which was awarded Best Picture in the Tokyo International Film Festival's Japanese Eyes section. Here he focuses his attention on one night in Tokyo, bereft of light after the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11th. In May of 2011, musician Maeno Kenta stands on the streets of Tokyo, their neon lights extinguished following the devastating disaster. As a steady rain falls, he sings, and sometimes screams, while wandering through the city.
