Documentary focusing on Saku General Hospital in Nagano Prefecture. Depicts the hospital's history from the 1950s over a thirty-year period, incorporating footage of patient advocacy groups and off-site medical treatment that was shot by the hospital's film department. Dr. Wakatsuki Toshikazu joined Saku General Hopsital in Nagano Prefecture's Saku City just before the end of World War II, and shortly thereafter implemented an innovative program of village-wide preventative medicine based on check-ups and visits to remote villages in the area. He realized high-quality specialist medical care in remote regions, and medical care closely integrated with local communities.
