[ Story ]
An adaptation of Naoki Prize-winning author Funado Yoichi's eponymous novel by Wakamatsu Koji, the formidably talented director of Caterpillar. Set at the Kaien Hotel, this unusual work depicts the madness of human emotions and the collapse of men's shared illusions. In addition to regulars in Wakamatsu's films such as Jibiki Go and Iura Arata, the lead female character is played by Katayama Hitomi.
After Yukio (Jibiki) is released from prison, he arrives in a remote town to take revenge against the man who betrayed him. However, a chance encounter with a mysterious woman (Katayama) sends his destiny careening in a different direction.
