[ Story ]
Nomadic poet Inoue Seigetsu, highly acclaimed by Japan's foremost writers including Akutagawa Ryunosuke and Taneda Santoka. Sheds light on the mysteries surrounding Seigetsu's circumstances using documentary and fiction techniques. For thirty years from the end of the Edo period through the Meiji period, Seigetsu (Tanaka Min) appeared from out of nowhere along Ina valley of Nagano Prefecture and wanders, leaving his poems written in black ink in exchange for lodging and food. Eventually he died a beggar's death. The truth about his life emerges through 1,800 poems and oral accounts.
