[ Story ]

Drama based on Tawara Kazuo's notebooks by the same title. Delves into the tragic fate of student draftees who were left behind at the border between the Soviet Union and Manchu at the close of World War II. The film bolsters its social advocacy by having the story told by Fukushima junior high school students who were impacted by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
About one year after the earthquake of 2011. A tiny village in China sends an invitation to the broadcasting club at a Fukushima junior high school struck by the nuclear power accident. The students are delighted to visit the village, where they meet the village elder Jin Tsuni (Tanaka Min). There, he tells them about the tragic events of 1945.
