Feature film debut for Miyazaki Daisuke, who worked as an assistant director on films by Kurosawa Kiyoshi and others. Cuts into the darkness of contemporary Japan hit by economic malaise and natural disaster, with a story centered on the true incident of a family's murder. Officially selection for the San Paulo International Film Festival's Young Director's Competition.
Raised by his parents' killer Tamegoro (Shionoya Masayuki), Akira (Nakamura Kuniaki) also grows up to be a hit man. He masters ruthless skills, but one day he is surprised to encounter Yukine (Komiyama Nami), who resembles the first girl he killed.
