[ Story ]
A man who identifies himself only as "Train Man" (Yamada Takayuki) begins to write about his love life on an internet blog site. The Train Man rescued a beautiful woman (Nakatani Miki) from a drunken, middle-aged pervert on the train and fell helplessly in love with her, but this timid and withdrawn social inadequate has no idea how to pursue his love. He has never had a girlfriend in his life. As soon as he starts writing about his love life, many people start to write back and give him advice and encouragement. He calls his love "Hermes", and tries to conceal from her the fact that he is a typical Japanese animation geek. Fearing that she is too rich, smart and beautiful for him, he becomes unable to show his true self to her. He decides to give up, but the messages of encouragement from his internet friends give him the strength and confidence to confess his love to her and win her heart.
The story is based on a real internet blog site that became one of the most popular sites in Japan and inspired a bestselling book, a TV series and this film.
