[ Story ]
A documentary about Yoshioka Sachio, the fifth-generation proprietor of Kyoto-based textile dyeing workshop Senshi Yoshioka that has been in business since the Edo Period. Director Kawase Mika, who previously helmed the documentary {BIG RETURNS} about a rock musician, delves into Yoshioka's technique that keeps Edo Period craftsmanship alive in the present day, as well as the man himself.
Yoshioka Sachio, who has inherited the mantle of dyeing master from the late proprietor, decides to return to using natural dyes instead of chemical ones. The textiles dyed with those natural colors have a captivating appeal.
