[ Story ]

An adventure-laden animated film that is the first feature adaptation of the popular manga by Togashi Yoshihiro, currently serialized in manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump. It reveals a hitherto unknown incident that motivated the story's key character Kurapika to set out to become a hunter.
Gon (voice: Han Megumi), on an ongoing journey in search of his father, is shocked when he learns how his close friend Kurapika (voice: Sawashiro Miyuki) had his eyes stolen from him by someone. Eventually, Gon discovers the series of events that led Kurapika to come into conflict with the Phantom Troupe.
