An adaptation of a romance novel by Naoki Prize-winning author Inoue Areno. It candidly depicts an intricate tapestry of love and hate between the acquaintances of a free-spirited woman who has collapsed from an illness. Director Yukisada Isao previously won the Japan Academy Prize Best Film for his film Go in 2001.
Matsuo (Abe Hiroshi) once eloped with Tsuya, the woman who became his wife only to cheat on him time after time. His deep love for her enabled him to persevere through it, but one day she falls into a coma. Unable to accept reality, Matsuo contacts the men Tsuya had affairs with over the years.
