Official selection for the 66th Cannes International Film Festival competition. Suspense action film from genius Miike Takashi, known for filmmaking that fears no taboos and breaks genre boundaries. Based on Kiuchi Kazuhiro's novel of the same title.
Tycoon Ninagawa (Yamazaki Tsutomu) offers one billion yen to the person who kills Kiyomaru (Fujiwara Tatsuya), the suspect in his granddaughter's murder. Sensing danger, Kiyomaru turns himself in to the Fukuoka Prefectural police. Special police officers Mekari (Osawa Takao) and Shiraiwa (Matsushima Nanako) are charged with escorting Kiyomaru under the threat of attack.
