Miyamoto Masaki, who won numerous awards for his Murakami Jun-starring short film Usotsuki Yumi-chan, makes his feature directorial debut with this drama based on his own experiences. It sympathetically depicts people dealing with and overcoming difficulties such as codependence, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and Alzheimer's dementia.
Elementary school teacher Tetsuya (Ozawa Ryota) wants to be supportive of his emotionally unstable and constantly controlling girlfriend Akemi (Iriyama Noriko), but is conflicted over how to go about it. At the same time, Akemi's mother begins to show signs of dementia.
