[ Story ]
Documentary that coolly depicts the unhappy fate of horses who survived the tsunami and nuclear power accident in the aftermath of the Tohoku earthquake, set in Fukushima's Soma region, known for the "Soma Nomaoi" ritual, or wild horse chase. Official selection for the 14th Tokyo Film Ex competition.
Former racehorse Mirror's Quest was living out his post-retirement life in Fukushima Prefecture's Minami-soma, when he was injured by the tsunami, and abandoned in the off-limits zone after the nuclear power accident. The government orders the extermination of horses affected by the disaster, but the owner refuses.
